You're not alone!

It's time to join a group of trusted peers that you can lean on.

The Mastering Laravel Community is open to any developer, but closed to noise! We're building a comfortable, friendly and knowledgeable community where you don't have to mark yourself as 'away' just to get some work done.

Whether you're a solo dev or a team lead, we all run into circumstances where we could use an objective, outside opinion. Stuck on a thorny code issue? Need a recommendation for a good package or service?

We want you to join so that you can discuss your questions and make new friends and connections along the way.

Join the Community
The Mastering Laravel Slack channel is my go-to hub for all things Laravel. It's a community brimming with knowledgeable devs ready to discuss design decisions, share insights, and tackle coding challenges together. More than just a learning space, it's a collaborative environment for growth and support. Testimonial author David Abraham / Spring Base Media

How does it work?

Slack screen

Joel and Aaron host a private Slack workspace for the Mastering Laravel community. Once you sign up, you'll get an invitation to join. Discussions are organized into a few different channels. Join the ones you're interested in, or feel free to lurk in all of them.

With users from around the globe, you'll get access to a wide range of opinions and experience. Not only can you ask questions, but you'll see questions other members ask, and the answers they receive. Feel free to jump in and share your thoughts as well. A big part of leveling up is being willing to jump in and answer someone else's question.

But I want more than just another Slack!

calls

As a bonus, twice a month, Aaron and Joel host a live community call to answer your questions in real time.

Developers: Have questions about best practices? Have you made something but you know it could be better? Share with your fellow developers and get honest but respectful feedback.

Dev Managers: This monthly call is invite-only and filtered to only development managers. Gather together your personnel management questions and other challenges and let's work them out.

Timezones can be tricky, so don't worry if you can't attend live. Ask your question in advance, we'll answer it live, and share a recording later for you to watch.

Questions?

We wouldn't expect anything less! Here's what we have to say.

Why a private community?

There are a ton of great community resources on the Internet, but sometimes they can be a bit noisy. By keeping the community private, we aim to keep the interactions positive and helpful. We want to nurture a community that you'll actually enjoy being part of.

Why do you charge for access?

Really, it's for many of the same reasons as why we keep the community private. Charging a nominal fee for access, goes a step further in keeping out the advertisers, scammers, and other kinds of obnoxious behavior.

Our goal is that the value you get out of the community will far exceed what you pay to join. And if you disagree, we're happy to offer a full refund, no questions asked.

What if I want to cancel the subscription?

This isn't a gym membership or a cell phone plan. Cancel anytime you want without having to jump through any hoops. You can always join again later in the future.

Memberships are not prorated so you will continue to retain access to the community until your paid subscription period expires.
